Practice Policies & Client Information
The information below provides an overview of Cedar Point Therapy's policies, fees, and services. Additional details regarding informed consent, privacy practices, and client rights are provided through intake paperwork prior to the start of treatment.

What to Expect
Getting started is simple. New clients will be asked to complete intake paperwork through our secure client portal before their first appointment. During the initial sessions, we'll discuss your concerns, goals, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy so we can determine the best path forward together.

Appointments & Cancellations
Appointments are reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Missed appointments and late cancellations may be subject to a fee. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may affect future scheduling availability.

Fees, Insurance & Payment
Cedar Point Therapy accepts select insurance plans and offers self-pay services.
Insurance benefits are verified as a courtesy; however, clients remain responsible for copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, non-covered services, and any balances not paid by insurance.
If you have questions about fees, insurance participation, or payment options, please contact our office before your appointment.

Telehealth & In-Person Services
Services are available both in person and through secure telehealth platforms when clinically appropriate.
Clients participating in telehealth services are responsible for ensuring they have a private location and reliable internet connection for their session.

Communication
Email, text messages, and client portal communications are intended for scheduling, billing, and administrative matters. These communication methods are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent concerns or emergencies.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Privacy & Confidentiality
Protecting your privacy is an essential part of the therapeutic process. Information shared in therapy is kept confidential except when disclosure is required or permitted by law, such as concerns involving safety, abuse or neglect reporting requirements, or valid legal orders.
Complete information regarding privacy practices and confidentiality is provided in our intake paperwork.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or choose not to use insurance benefits have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected treatment costs.
A Good Faith Estimate is based on information available at the time it is provided and is not a contract or guarantee of final charges. Because treatment needs and frequency of services may change, actual costs may differ from the estimate provided.
If you would like more information about fees or would like to request a Good Faith Estimate, please contact our office.
